MTFRW President Debra Brown – 2014 to 2015
Debra was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on April 2, 1955, where her father was attending Oklahoma State University. Following her father’s graduation from OSU her family returned to the family farm near Grandfield, Oklahoma.
Debra graduated from Grandfield High School in 1973 and moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, to attend school at Midwestern State University. That would begin the dream of completing her college degree in accounting and becoming a CPA. Debra moved to Montana in December of 1996. After 38 years, five schools, and four states, Debra graduated from Carroll College in Helena in May 2011, with a BA in Accounting and a minor in Public Administration.
In June of 2011, she was elected to serve the Montana Republican Party as Treasurer. She was re-elected in June 2013 and continues to serve in that position. Debra served as President of the Lewis & Clark Republican Women for 2010 and 2011 and Vice President of the MTFRW from 2011-2013. Debra currently serves as the Chair of the Broadwater County Republican Central Committee. She has held that position since 2010.
On July 11, 1998, Debra married Levi Brown in Helena. They have five children from previous marriages, 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Debra and Levi attend church at MorningStar International Fellowship in Helena.
