Please plan for a punctual arrival at 11:30 AM on February 2… Buffet Lunch served as you arrive.

2018 Dues!

Time to Renew clock

Yes, 2018 membership dues are NOW due and shall be delinquent February 15. Your Club needs the cash flow starting January 1, 2018 as well as the Montana Federation of Republican Women… so, please come prepared to pay your 2018 dues ($25) at the next meeting. To aide our Treasurer with all the required information as part of the Political Practices report we ask that you fill out the updated Membership Form 2018 This will alleviate her need to make phone calls to collect the required information.

L&CRW Cyndi Forbes Memorial Scholarship

The Lewis & Clark Republican Women announces our Fifth Annual Scholarship. The Lewis & Clark Republican Women’s Cyndi Forbes Memorial Scholarship Fund consists of a one-time award of a $1000 and a $500 scholarship available to a female high school senior high school graduate or equivalent who is a resident of Lewis & Clark, Broadwater, or Jefferson Counties and is either entering, currently enrolled, or is returning to an institution of higher education in Montana. Application must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2018.

Montana Women Attend NFRW Convention in Philadelphia

L38CRW Women at NFRW 2017From left, Lewis and Clark Republican Women Vice President Elaine Herman, President Shirley Herrin, and Chaplain Fee Lamping receive the coveted Diamond Award presented to them at the 39th Biennial National Federation of Republican Women Convention held September 14-17, 2017 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The award is in acknowledgement of the successful 2016-2017 achievements that the club had attained.

Lewis and Clark Republican Women President Shirley Herrin, Vice President Elaine Herman and Chaplain Fee Lamping attended the 39th Biennial Convention of the National Federation of Republican Women in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, September 14-17, 2017. They joined the Montana delegation (below) including Montana Federation of Republican Women (MTFRW) President, Heidi Roedel, Kalispell; Senator Jennifer Fielder, Thompson Falls; MTFRW Vice President Suzanne Nordwick, Butte; and Arla Jeanne Murray, Miles City. Several keynote speakers were featured at the convention along with educational workshops. The event was highlighted with a visit to the National Constitution Center. MTFRW at NFRW 2017

President Shirley Herrin 2016Shirley has been active in Republican politics for decades, serving on innumerable campaigns throughout the years. She was the Executive Director/Western Division of the Bush-Quale “Victory 88” Campaign – President George Bush and Vice President Dan Quale.

The following is a synopsis of her activities:

> Served on the Board of Directors of the Lewis and Clark Republican Women’s Club (L&CRW) from 1983-1990 as a Director, 2nd and 1st Vice President and President. Re-elected President of L&CRW in November of 2015.
> Served as a Precinct Committeewoman and Vice Chair of the Lewis and Clark County Republican Central Committee (LCCRCC), and is currently serving as a Committeewoman for Precinct 24.
> Secretary of the Montana Federation of Republican Women from 1993-1997, and served as President of the organization in 2012-2013.
> Elected to serve as a Montana Alternate to the 2012 National GOP Convention in Tampa, FL
> Worked for various Montana State Departments
> Worked for the Montana Legislature through several decades
> Has served on the Montana Capitol Restoration Foundation since 1997 – is now Secretary
> Volunteer for the Montana Heritage Commission
> Trustee on the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame Board
> Served seven years as Secretary for the Montana Saddle Clubs Association
> Served sixteen years as Secretary/Treasurer of the Helena Trail Riders Saddle Club
> Served on the Board of Directors of the Society of the Sons and Daughters of Montana Pioneers from 1996 – 2009, as a Director, Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President

Shirley is a fifth-generation Montanan and is the owner of a health business. She is a widow and mother of three sons and two daughters – grandmother of nine and she has two great-grandsons.
