Regular registration for the 2009 Montana Republican Party Officers Convention is about to come to a close! If you haven’t yet registered, please take the time to REGISTER HERE, reserve a room at the Helena Red Lion Colonial Hotel and be part of the action June 11th through the 13th. You will be able to register after June 1st for an additional cost, so take the time now to REGISTER. Training sessions are sure to educate and inspire Republicans from all corners of the state and all levels of political involvement.

NFRW President, Shirley Sadler was an encouragement to us at the MFRW Conference. The conference was well attended and well organized. The executive board met and had a business meeting in the home of Jean Bartlett. The day of the conference was filled with meetings, workshops and reports. Many ladies shared ideas from their clubs, had fun and enjoy some good food and fellowship.

Spring Conference

Saturday, April 4, 2009, Spring Conference, Montana Federation of Republican Women, Red Lion Colonial Inn, Helena, beginning at 8:30 A.M. The keynote speaker for this meeting, as well as for the evening banquet, will be Shirley Sadler, President of the National Federation of Republican Women. Ladies, it is very significant that the national president will be our Montana Spring Conference speaker. We are encouraging you to attend. Any MFRW member is most welcome! The price for the conference is $35. The banquet price is $25 per person, with a choice of salmon or prime rib.

MFRW Club Around the State…

MFRW Clubs from around the state are getting creative and putting together baskets for the State Convention this coming week – June 18-21 in Missoula. (See GOP website for more info)

Three MT Women Go to NFRW Board Meeting

We can be very proud of our involvement on the national level this year. Our former MFRW president, Arla Jeanne Murray was nominated chair of the “Caring for America” program. She has since put together a website to encourage participation across the USA. You can visit this site at NFRWcaringforamerica.org.

Our current President, Jean Bartlett, represented all of us at the board meeting and was able to vote on our behalf. She also attended workshops and special activities.

District 2 Director, Heidi Roedel, participated on the “Website Assistance Committee.”

GOP Winter Kickoff

There was a great turn out in Billings at the Montana GOP Winter Kickoff. The attendance grew from 80 participants last year to over 300 excited Republicans this year. Many enjoyed the fellowship, informative workshops, forums, and hearing the representatives from the national presidential candidates.
